International experience

Skills of intercultural communication, understanding of social problems of youth, self-realization, a true international network of friends is just a small list of experiences that you can get on international projects.

YMCA of Ukraine is an accredited sending organization. We help young people take part in short-term and long-term Erasmus + projects.

In addition, there is an opportunity to participate in short-term programs and trainings of the YMCA Europe.

Today the following programs are constantly operating:

– Youth Peace Network (YPN) – three-month summer internship in Canadian summer camps

– Projects within the framework of the “Roots of Conciliation” program from YMCA Europe

– Youth exchanges with AWO SANO, LEB, Evangelisches Jugendwerk (Germany)

– Projects with YMCAs of different countries (France, Sweden, Canada, Belarus)

Volunteers from the Peace Corps have been cooperating with the YMCA of Ukraine for several years in the areas of education and leadership development. This is a great opportunity for local young people to immerse into the world of another culture and learn about the features of their culture in the eyes of a foreigner.

Friends all over the world

As YMCA is a huge multicultural family, every year we invite foreign guests to Ukraine from England, USA, Denmark, Sweden, Canada, Germany, Egypt to our festivals and conference, so they get to know our youth and rich Ukrainian culture.
